{"id":6545,"date":"2022-03-29T14:33:15","date_gmt":"2022-03-29T12:33:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.safram.com\/?p=6545"},"modified":"2022-04-06T14:33:47","modified_gmt":"2022-04-06T12:33:47","slug":"channel_cancellations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.safram.com\/en\/channel_cancellations\/","title":{"rendered":"English Channel Ferry Crossing Cancellations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>P&amp;O Ferries &#8211; English Channel Ferry Crossing Cancellations <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>On the 17<sup>th<\/sup> of March 2022, P&amp;O Ferries announced the immediate dismissal of 800 crew members.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Since this announcement P&amp;O Ferries services has experienced significant disruptions, including their Calais to\/from Dover route which is SAFRAM\u2019s main entry\/exit point to the UK\/EU.\u00a0<strong>P&amp;O Ferries Services for this particular route remain canceled. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Up until today SAFRAM has managed the situation by using alternative routes to enter\/exit the UK\/EU. Given the limited freight capacity from alternative ferry companies, we have experienced longer waiting times at the ports.<\/p>\n<p>To this day, the extra costs bored from these disruptions to maintain the level of service have been taken on by SAFRAM as we hope this is just a temporary situation.<\/p>\n<p>However, if the situation was to continue into April, SAFRAM will unfortunately be forced to temporarily pass on the additional costs to our customers.<\/p>\n<p>Our Operational Team is closely monitoring the situation and if it were to continue, we will make sure to inform you.<\/p>\n<p>SAFRAM Management<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>P&amp;O Ferries &#8211; English Channel Ferry Crossing Cancellations On the 17th of March 2022, P&amp;O Ferries announced the immediate dismissal of 800 crew members.
