{"id":7051,"date":"2025-09-26T09:58:20","date_gmt":"2025-09-26T07:58:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.safram.com\/?p=7051"},"modified":"2025-09-29T09:59:19","modified_gmt":"2025-09-29T07:59:19","slug":"eori_france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.safram.com\/en\/eori_france\/","title":{"rendered":"Changes to the EORI number in France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dear customers,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We would like to inform you of an important development regarding customs regulations in France.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is going to change?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Currently, the EORI number in France generally begins with the country code <strong>FR<\/strong>, followed by the company&#8217;s SIRET number.<\/p>\n<p>Starting at the end of 2025, only the EORI number based on the <strong>SIREN<\/strong> (the company&#8217;s identifier at the head office level) will be accepted in all customs clearance systems in France.<\/p>\n<p>EORI numbers based on the SIRET will no longer be usable.<\/p>\n<p>This change is part of a <strong>European harmonization<\/strong> and a modernization of customs systems.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When ?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As of <strong>January 1, 2026<\/strong>, all customs procedures must be carried out using an <strong>EORI number based on the SIREN<\/strong>. From that date onward, the former number will no longer be accepted for customs formalities (import, export, transit, etc.).<\/p>\n<p><strong><br \/>\nWhat impact will this have on you?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>A new EORI number will be assigned to you<\/strong> <strong>upon request<\/strong> or automatically for those holding a customs authorization.<\/li>\n<li><strong>It will be necessary to use this new number<\/strong> for all your customs operations starting from January 1, 2026.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Without any action on your part, your operations will be blocked by customs starting January 1, 2026.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Concrete risk<\/strong>: Blockage at essential customs services<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Our advice starting now<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Inform your import\/export teams about this upcoming change.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Immediately request your new EORI <\/strong>(EORI SIREN) from French customs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Need support with this transition?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"52\" data-end=\"91\">SAFRAM can assist you at every step of this change.<br \/>\nOur team remains available to answer your questions and support you throughout this regulatory transition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1686\">\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dear customers, We would like to inform you of an important development regarding customs regulations in France. &nbsp; What is going to change?
