Dear customers,
We would like to inform you of an important development regarding customs regulations in France.
What is going to change?
Currently, the EORI number in France generally begins with the country code FR, followed by the company’s SIRET number.
Starting at the end of 2025, only the EORI number based on the SIREN (the company’s identifier at the head office level) will be accepted in all customs clearance systems in France.
EORI numbers based on the SIRET will no longer be usable.
This change is part of a European harmonization and a modernization of customs systems.
When ?
As of January 1, 2026, all customs procedures must be carried out using an EORI number based on the SIREN. From that date onward, the former number will no longer be accepted for customs formalities (import, export, transit, etc.).
What impact will this have on you?
Concrete risk: Blockage at essential customs services
