New Year, New Rules: EU Customs Changes from 1 Jan 2026 – don’t get stuck !
November 28, 2025New Year, New Technology – RFID into our transport operations
Dear Customer,
As we begin a new year, we are pleased to share an update on one of our most important transformation initiatives, bringing new technology into our business: our RFID Cross-dock project, designed to enhance the efficiency, quality, and reliability of our transport / logistics operations. This project represents a significant investment of time and resources, with extensive work carried out throughout 2025 and beyond and a phased operational deployment which started at the end 2025.
This project reflects our long-term vision and commitment to continuously invest in innovative, reliable, and safe logistics solutions.
Project Objective
The RFID project aims to optimize order preparation and cross-dock flows by introducing advanced automation and real-time data capture across our transport operations.
Expected Benefits
- Improved quality and shipment accuracy,
- Enhanced traceability throughout the transport / logistics chain,
- Faster, safer, and more reliable loading and receiving operations.
RFID Technology & Our Long-Term Commitment
Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology enables automatic identification and tracking of goods using radio waves, without manual scanning or line-of-sight constraints.
RFID technology will enable us to deliver :
- Real-time visibility across receiving, preparation, and loading activities,
- Reduction of manual operations and human error, improving service quality,
- Increased operational speed, especially at dock level,
- Improved safety, limiting manual checks in loading areas,
- A scalable automation platform supporting future growth.
Our dedicated Project Team invested considerable effort in:
- Technology selection and testing,
- Adaptation to packaging and product constraints,
- Alignment with our operational and business processes,
- Pilot execution and validation.
This extensive preparation phase has ensured that RFID is not only innovative, but also robust, reliable, and fully adapted to our real operational environment. End of year 2025 marks the transition from preparation to full-scale implementation.
Project Status
