Brexit : SAFRAM in the starting blocks
December 7, 2020Tax representation – Simplifying UK & CH exports to the European Union
January 18, 2021Ladies, Gentlemen,
2020 is coming to an end and we are looking ahead to the future. As a year, it will go down in the history books as a time of uncertainty and questioning, but also of opportunities and challenges!
As the festive season approaches, we send you our sincerest wishes from the entire team at SAFRAM Group and extend our warmest thanks for your loyalty and support. We wish you and your loved ones good health and hope most sincerely that you have not been affected too much by the current health crisis.
This past year will continue to be remembered for two unwelcome and unexpected phenomena: Coronavirus and social distancing. A word and concept that were unheard of twelve months ago, which have suddenly found their way into our homes and workplaces. It has been a terrible shock for everyone. But for now, let’s look to the future and learn the lessons from what has happened.
2020 has taught us to be united, responsive and flexible. We have done all we can to focus on the needs of our customers and to meet their expectations, in challenging working conditions.
Aside from the difficulties it has created, the crisis has highlighted our strengths and our ability to adapt. It has strengthened our team cohesion and enabled us to develop new ways of working to compensate for the difficulties associated with geographical dispersion, remote working and rules that changed from week to week, and sometimes even from day to day.
All our subsidiaries have joined the SAP platform, which enables us to work on a common tool. To better promote our image and products, we have launched a new website as well as a new CRM.
We have also received several AEO certifications, which are awarded to companies considered trustworthy in logistics and international customs matters. All our Swiss, French and British subsidiaries are now certified.
Finally, we anticipated the as-yet-uncertain consequences of Brexit by extending our storage areas and obtained ETSF (Border Force External Temporary Storage facility) status in Aylesford, Great Britain. We look forward to the outcome of the ongoing negotiations and are ready to respond to any eventuality.
It is often in adversity that opportunities emerge. 2021 will undoubtedly be full of challenges, but we will rise to them, and the entire SAFRAM group team is ready to embark on this new year with confidence and determination.
Dear partners, we sincerely thank you for your support and loyalty and wish you an enjoyable festive season. Let us remain strong and united and look forward to the fine days ahead.
