Privacy policy and cookies

As part of its activity, SAFRAM SA, with head office located at 5 Route des Moulières CH-1242 Satigny, is required to collect and process information, some of which qualifies as personal data. SAFRAM SA attaches great importance to respecting privacy, and only uses data in a responsible and confidential manner and for a specific purpose.

Personal data

On the website, there are two types of data that may be collected:

  • Data transmitted directly

This data is transmitted to us directly by you, via a contact form or by direct contact by email. The fields ‘first and last name’, ‘company or organisation’ and ‘email’ are compulsory in the contact form.

  • Data collected automatically

During your visits, once your consent has been given, we may collect web analytics relating to your browsing habits, the duration of your visit, your IP address, your type and browser version. The technology used for this is the cookie.

Data usage

The data that you send us directly is used for the purpose of re-contacting you and/or as part of the request you make to us. Web analytics data is collected anonymously (by recording anonymous IP addresses) by Google Analytics, and allows us to measure the audience of our website, browsing habits and to identify possible errors in order to constantly improve the users’ experience. This data is used by SAFRAM SA data processing management, and will never be transferred to a third party or used for purposes other than those detailed above.

Legal basis

Personal data is only collected after the user’s compulsory consent. This consent is authentically collected (through buttons and check boxes), free, clear and unambiguous.

Data retention period

The data will be kept for a maximum period of three years.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who we share your data with
How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your rights regarding personal data

You have the right to consult, request modification or removal of all of your personal data. You can also withdraw your consent for the processing of your data.
