P&O Ferries – English Channel Ferry Crossing Cancellations

On the 17^th of March 2022, P&O Ferries announced the immediate dismissal of 800 crew members.

Since this announcement P&O Ferries services has experienced significant disruptions, including their Calais to/from Dover route which is SAFRAM’s main entry/exit point to the UK/EU. P&O Ferries Services for this particular route remain canceled.  

Up until today SAFRAM has managed the situation by using alternative routes to enter/exit the UK/EU. Given the limited freight capacity from alternative ferry companies, we have experienced longer waiting times at the ports.

To this day, the extra costs bored from these disruptions to maintain the level of service have been taken on by SAFRAM as we hope this is just a temporary situation.

However, if the situation was to continue into April, SAFRAM will unfortunately be forced to temporarily pass on the additional costs to our customers.
