2017, the long road ahead with Safram
December 20, 2016
The declaration of origin on an invoice is gradually replacing EUR 1 and Form A
March 28, 2017While each company is unique, the issues faced, however, seem to be universal: among them are technological challenges, legislation, investment… and this notorious economic environment which brings about the price war. In this highly competitive context, Safram is vigorously defending its chances and staying on course!
2016 will have seen some major changes within our company. The most important is without doubt the implementation of our new hub in England, which was launched in February and reached its cruising speed within a few months. We are taking the opportunity of this editorial to pay tribute to our teams in Aylesford who worked closely together and did an exceptional job in setting up Safram UK in Aylesford. Similarly, we would like to thank all SAFRAM employees, in their respective subsidiaries, for their drive and commitment.
The transport market is illustrated by a trend towards valuing price at the expense of quality. To ensure its success and that of its customers, Safram adds to its necessary competitiveness a tradition of service that resolutely aims to make a difference:
– Highly personalized services
– True availability
– The agility demanded by modern companies
In 2017, we will continue to strive to improve our processes. Our IT system will be revamped to increase efficiency and practicality; we are deploying our SAP operating system in one of our French hubs (i.e. Garges-les-Gonesse – Paris), to homogenize our sites. From an operational point of view, we will replace some equipment to increase productivity.
The 2016 business year enabled us to secure new customers, particularly in the transportation of hazardous goods, which is one of our specialties. In 2017, we would like to widen the scope, particularly into the industrial and agri-food sectors.
To conclude, we would like to extend our warmest thanks to our customers, our employees and our partners, but also our wishes for success, while looking forward to continued fruitful and promising collaboration!
